The Real Secret of Productivity

 What is Productivity?

The meaning of productive for everyone is different, people in general, do not have the same routine every day, some feel that just reading one book is already productive or there are some who interpret it even more. let's find out!

Most people define productivity as getting more things done in a shorter amount of time but that definition is kinda wrong, why? because if that's the way you think it can put too much emphasis on quantity and not enough on quality. One of my favorite quotes says: "Don't be busy, be productive". We can see that actually, the best way to define "productivity" is about getting the right things done not just about getting more things done.

Productive Life or A Busy Life?
There are several things that can distinguish between busy and productive people that we need to know:

1. Purpose
Busy people tend to have no purpose. A busy person takes many steps to find the best for himself. While productive people are different. They will take clear steps with the goals they will achieve later. In that way, all decisions and measures are more measurable.

2. Action
Busy people tend to focus on what they are doing and rarely think about the clarity of what they will produce. While productive people tend to think of the clarity of what they do. Productive people tend to think and evaluate their work afterward.

3. Priority
Busy people will have many priorities to take on. Sometimes it gets out of focus and the result is less than perfect. While a productive person clearly has priorities in his life that are less than busy people. He knows what to accomplish and will act as his top priority.

4. Quality
Busy people usually like to do a lot of things, but finish them halfway. While productive people do one thing and focus on it until it's done.

5. Consideration
Busy people tend to accept offers easily without thinking capable or not. While productive people tend to accept offers with a lot of consideration. Therefore, he will take into account first and then adjust to the abilities he has.

There are several ways to help increase your productivity. Firstly, you need to Planning your purposes, good planning will make it easier for you to take strategic steps to achieve a goal. In planning, there is an estimated time of job work, the best methods that should be used, the capital that is needed, and the goals to be obtained. By following well-laid plans, you may get results that are not far off. The measures taken are usually unguent if they do not have a job plan. As a result, work may not be as optimal as one might expect.

Secondly, focus on your priority! while you are making a plan, there are those called scale priorities. Each person has different priorities depending on his or her needs. However, priorities are usually determined by the most important and most urgent goals. Make the goals that fall into that category the first job to do. There is much work or target that can actually be delayed because it can be done at another time or when it is not urgent. You can put this kind of job on a priority scale next once the main target is finished. Here you must be careful to determine which work is a priority and which one is not.

The last but not least, avoid the distraction, avoid potential distractions while you are doing your job, there are always potential distractions. Could be external, but it or also internal. External factors such as situations that are not supportive to work optimally. Internal factors such as wanting to do something beyond your responsibility. You must be able to identify this type of disorder in order to determine the appropriate steps to overcome it. If it comes from the outside, you can avoid it in many ways. If you come from the inside, you too must practice not to follow it. Do preventive measures so that the disorder does not degrade the productivity of the work.

If you have big dreams and goals, adopting the habits practiced by the tips above ith helps you to increase your capacity to accomplish more than you can imagine. You will complete more work, feel more adept, and appreciate your time. Being productive isn't about intellectual talent. It's about the ability to work more intelligently to accomplish things. The key to greater productivity is to work smarter, not harder. Working smarter saves precious time and energy for the things that really matter—your life goals ♡
